About the Comedians
Vicky Kuperman is the co-creator of the Love’s a Joke tour along with her husband, comedian Max Cohen, but she does most of the work because she’s the woman. The Russian-born comedian has performed globally for over a decade and was named one of Huffington Post’s new comedians to watch. She’s been seen on Live From Gotham, Nickelodeon, The Maxim comedy Showcase and heard regularly on SiriusXM.
Her comedy albums Love’s a Joke, When I Could Feel, All Good! and Three’s Comedy are in regular rotation on SiriusXM, and her book How to Spy on Your Neighbor was top 10 in political-humor on Amazon.
In her comedy, she talks about everything from her Russian Family, World Travel, and marrying a younger guy, to her favorite topic: dogs. She just got back from a three-week military tour for Armed Forces Entertainment. She entertained troops on 15 military bases and five countries across Europe and it was one of the greatest honors of her life.
She performed her Off-Broadway one-hour solo stand-up show to packed houses for five nights at the 2014 United Solo Theatre Festival, where she won “Best Stand-up of the Fest.”
Max Cohen has performed his unique brand of self-deprecating yet tasteful and hilarious comedy at clubs from Seattle to South Africa. Finally making his home in New York City, he brings the confusions and bewilderments of his life from the family dinner table to stages such as the Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, and Stand Up NY. He was a semifinalist in The Great Long Island Laugh Off and published in “Urbasm” magazine. Max has appeared in the New Orleans Comedy Arts Festival, Laughing Devil Comedy Festival, the SENE Film, Music & Arts Festival, and the Key West Comedy Festival.
Max is a regular panelist on John Fugelsang’s show “Tell Me Everything,” on SiriusXM, and his album “Operation: Pastrami Sandwich,” is also played regularly on SiriusXM. He was a featured guest on Paramount Network’s “Bar Rescue.”
Born in Brooklyn and raised in Amityville, New York, Jamie Roberts gained an interest in comedy after being crowned ‘Funniest Person’ by his senior class in High School. It was then that he realized that comedy was where he belonged and hit the pavement convincing audiences one joke at a time. His first major win came at Stand Up NY, where he convinced the judges and won his next title, ‘Funniest Person from the Suburbs’. He continued pushing forward, making strides in the comedic world with performances in New York City Tri-state area, Hollywood and Atlanta. Jamie broke barriers by becoming the first non-Latino to produce the Latino Laughter Comedy Show at the New York Comedy Club. In addition to producing the show, he also hosted it each week. This experience opened the door to him producing a string of independent shows in the New York Tri- State area, as well as a national college tour titled “One Night Stand Comedy Tour”. The tour supported and educated students about safe sex through stand up comedy.
There’s no stage too big and no feat unconquerable in Jamie Roberts’ world. With his clean-cut good looks, insatiable charm, and cutting edge comedy, he’s certainly the one to watch for.
Nicky Sunshine has appeared on the Netflix series “The Break” with Michelle Wolf and is a series regular background actress on “Saturday Night Live”. She has appeared in comedic skits with Hannibal Buress, Damien Lemon, Ilana Glazer, and Phoebe Robinson. Ms. Sunshine is the co-founder of the food web series “Let’s Get Greedy” which has gained over a half million views on Youtube. She made her reality TV debut on the FYI Network in the ten episode series “A Question of Love” and is a morning radio host on 108 Soul. Nicky has performed in and produced hundreds of shows in NYC venues such as Gotham Comedy Club, Caroline’s on Broadway, Dangerfield, Stand Up NY, Broadway Comedy Club, and West Side Comedy Club. She received a standing ovation at her recent appearance at “The Apollo”. Ms. Sunshine’s self written one woman show “Confessions of a Massage Parlor Madam” was a sell out at “The National Black Theater” in Harlem.
Abbi Crutchfield hosts Up Early Tonight on Hulu. She has been seen on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee on TBS, Comedy Central, and TruTV.
Luke Thayer is silly, yet biting with an unorthodox view of social norms and insight into the choices people make. He observes the world through a colorful lens, including childhood, parenthood, and the neighborhood. Luke has been in numerous comedy festivals and tours comedy clubs, colleges, and theaters across the world. He has appeared on “Gotham Comedy Live”, FOX, TruTV, and The Food Network, to name a few. Luke is regularly heard on SiriusXM Radio and has been their “Comedian of the Month.” His debut album “Hopes + Dreams” has been streamed over 1.4 Million times. Look for his Dry Bar Comedy Special this year!
