SeptemberFeast
A Multi-Cultural Celebration of Food, Music, Art, and Togetherness
Hosted by the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center
In collaboration with the Simsbury Junior Woman’s Club, the Simsbury Grange, the Simsbury Chamber of Commerce, and the Simsbury SPIRIT Council
Septemberfest is evolving! This year, the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center presents SeptemberFeast – a multicultural celebration of food, music, art, and togetherness – on Friday, September 10 and Saturday, September 11, 2021.
Find unique handcrafted goods at the Simsbury Junior Woman’s Club Annual Arts and Crafts Festival. This year’s Festival will present a mix of highly qualified artisans representing a cross-section of photography, jewelry making, pottery, crafts and more.
Visit the Simsbury Grange Agricultural Fair, which will be awarding ribbons and cash prizes for vegetables, flowers, fruit, baking, home arts, kids’ original Lego creations, and more. They will also be featuring old-fashioned kids games, a prize wheel, and unique local cultural, environmental, and agricultural opportunities and information.
The Simsbury Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Health Expo on Friday, September 10th. Attendees will be able to collect valuable health and wellness information from local Chamber members. Attendees will also receive a passport and if they visit every booth, they will be entered to win a gift basket containing gift cards, products, or other prizes from every Health Expo vendor.
On Saturday, September 11th, there will be a Business Expo sharing information about local businesses offering home improvements, fitness and sports resources – and offer attendees the opportunity to meet area health professionals and the Town of Simsbury departments. The Simsbury SPIRIT Council will also be on site to share information and resources regarding diversity and inclusion efforts in town. They invite you to visit their booth to participate in making Simsbury more welcoming and inclusive.
On Saturday, September 11th, SeptemberFeast will also host Simsbury’s Electric Car (EV) Exhibition. Most major car makers have committed to transitioning entirely to EV vehicles in the near future. Are you ready to join the EV revolution? Are you ready to own a car that is less expensive to power, less expensive to maintain, and receives strong subsidies from the state of Connecticut? Come check out EV cars on Saturday, September 11 from 3-6 pm near the Rotary Park Playground in Simsbury. The exhibition will include several different EV models and information about Connecticut’s incentives. This SeptemberFeast activity is brought to you by Simsbury’s Clean Energy Task Force with gracious support from Capitol for Clean Cities, Mitchell Auto Group, and Hoffman Auto Group.
SeptemberFeast will also feature two stages of live performances and demonstrations. On Friday, September 10th, catch some of Connecticut’s best musicians on the Main Stage from 6-10 PM. On Saturday, September 11th, SeptemberFeast will have plenty of live music, dance performances, and demonstrations on both the Main Stage and Pavilion Stage from 10 AM – 10 PM. Follow us on social media @Simsbury_Meadows for the latest updates on the performers who will be joining us for this special event.
Outside food and nonalcoholic beverages are permitted during SeptemberFeast.
The Moonlight Pub will be serving a selection of beer and wine from 6-9:30 PM on Friday and 12-9:30 PM on Saturday.
Whether you choose to visit the on-site food trucks, or bring your own feast, we encourage to share pictures of your meal using the hashtag #SeptemberFeastin’
